Champion's Corner
(Give me a break, it's tornado season! Tongue Here, have Tore poking pins in Trevor's ego.)

The swan maidens were content to be quiet, Sigdis because she was interested in the story, Tore because she was waiting for the best opportunity to interrupt. She'd been around long enough, she knew Trevor and that this little gathering was feeding his ego, letting him talk like this. Someone needed to keep him under control, and if anything, being around Gersemi had taught Tore how to take the wind out of sails.

He gave her the perfect opportunity. "Funny enough, to hear Holt tell it," she said slowly, obviously enjoying this. "You did take a tumble or two. Or three." He was also usually taller and armed, but Tore wasn't going to mention that.

(O_O;; Holt and Kenny are kind of OCs of mine, and a friend. Tongue Though you're not far off from Holt. He's 6'6", but does choose to use hands over weapons. XD)

The satyr gritted his teeth a little, "Yeah, okay, I'll give you that one." he says with a gesture of his hand, but he squints towards the swan-maidens, a grin crossing his face. "But who's tellin' the story, yeah?"

(She was referring to Trevor being taller and armed, sorry, I was totally not clear.)

Sigdis squeaks at being the center of attention and leans back a little, but Tore is completely calm. The Lady's Second raises a brow back at Trevor, keeping her calm. "I see a satyr holding court, but I don't hear much of a story," she criticizes. "Get on with it, Revelry, or perhaps we should find a new form of entertainment."

Aylis gave a rather irritated look to the swan maidens, but quickly schooled it, and turned his attention back to Trevor. It wasn't his place to get all snippy with them. He was fairly sure Trevor could handle that himself - if he chose to handle it at all.

"You are telling the story, and I would love to hear the end of it." he said pleasantly, smiling at the satyr. "What happened after that?"

"Then, maybe, you should close your beak, and let me tell it, then? 'Cause really, I don't care to be arguing with handmaidens, over the whats and ifs and hows of my stories, got it?" he states, very firmly, despite Aylis's comment, "'Less of course, you want me to put you in a more interesting state of mind?" He smirks, dangerously so, "'Cause I got no qualms against that. I may be chatty-Cathy, and then some, but fuck me if I'm gonna let you piss all over my shtick, birdy." Trevor states, as any candle-flames around him flash an odd assortment of purple, green, and blue, as a warning.

The colors fade, and he takes a hit from his pipe, "Anyway, where was I? Right. Holt, knocking my block off. So yeah, needed to explain to them that I wasn't a Keeper, which, honestly wasn't that hard, just needed to y'know, not get decked. So I revealed myself. Told'm who I was, and made a note, not to get on Holt's bad side. He seemed cool with it, though, hesitant, don't think he'd met many satyrs before me." he comments, chuckling, as he gestures vaguely. "Not to mention, a Champion. Plus, like I said, real over-protective type to his progeny, needed to make sure I wasn't one of those pricks that kill kid vampires. Kenny on the other hand, the kid, was a little more talkative, bein' a kid, yeah, kinda hits the nail on the head and all, but he was a smart kid, or not-kid. He'd been vamped for about sixty years by this point. He explained the situation a little better too, and had heard of me. Well, Champions, at least."

Aylis winced a bit as the two Champions exchanged verbal blows, and hoped sincerely it wasn't going to come to physical ones. Last time he'd tried to patch up another Champion was a good long time ago, and he wasn't eager to repeat the experience. He politely cleared his throat.

"I'm glad everything worked out." he said quietly. "Should I... top up everyone's glasses?"

"Think we're outta wine, actually." Trevor comments to Aylis, a vague gesture of his hand offered. "Not really in the mood to go on anyway, anymore. Think I took too long to set up the story. Happens, though, this one was pretty long-winded. Not nearly as interestin' as I had first thought. Suffice it to say, we killed the keepers, and they got away safe. Haven't heard from Kenny since... pre-Shadows War, though. We kept in contact for a bit."

"Have you asked Mina about them? I know you swing by her territory for the solstice party sometimes. She's pretty good at keeping tabs on other vampires."

More quietly Drake adds "at least the ones old and powerful enough to be potential threats or allies."

"Or you could ask Archie. He's a little friendlier and knows everything she does."

"Yeh. I'll consider it. S'long as Phoenix ain't there, or other..." he trails off, eyes glancing off towards the swan-maiden. "Less respectful folk." he comments, taking a long, thoughtful drag from his pipe, before putting it out and pocketing it. "Anyway."

Aylis yawned widely, and put his hand over his mouth to keep his manners. He was actually fairly tired, and hadn't had a chance to nap or sleep the correct amount in days - but the yawn also served as a distraction from the tension. Rubbing his eyes, he got up to get some more water for himself, canting his head at everyone, and headed into the kitchen - if only to get away from the wound-tight personalities in the room.

"Never before have I met a group of such charged individuals..." he muttered to himself, while pouring another glass of water. He sighed, and headed back out into the room with everyone else, and leaned back against the wall, watching... well, primarily Trevor.
