Champion's Corner
#11
Sierra bristled slightly, her feathers ruffling. Apparently she had been a victim of at least one prank. "Why did he have to pick hot pink to dye my hair that time? It clashed with my fur and wings. " She touched her black hair to remind herself that it was back to that color.

Eira narrows her eyes right back at Drake over his attitude, but her attention is demanded by the others. She rolls her eyes, but grins a little at Trevor. "You mean it hasn't already gotten him into trouble?" she asks. "I know it has one of my Guard who follows his example." She leaves off the name on purpose, since those who know the guard would know who she meant.

She tilts her head to the side, eyeing the sphinx who she hasn't had a chance to meet yet. Her grip on her sword gets a little firmer, to draw if needed. She barely glances at Drake even as she adds, "I think we would all like to know the answer to that." She moves so she can keep an eye on both the sphinx and the dragon at the same time.

She rolls her eyes again when he deflects the question, then gives the Revelry champion a warning look in case mentions of this Oliver gave him ideas. Signe had already proven that white hair took dye far too well. Herdis had not been amused.

(Welcome Stella [and Sierra]! Eira has only been Lunar Champion for five years, so outside of a select few that she would need to know, like Phoenix, Drake, and those who are in attendance at the current vampire party, I doubt she's met the others yet.)

Sierra followed the gaze of the swan maiden, noticing the warning look. She wouldn't wish pink hair on anyone, "I wouldn't do it to any female if I were you. Oliver forgot that he can't fly when he pulled that prank. It was funny to see him run though." She looked to Eira. "Hello, I don't believe we've met before. I'm Sierra, Fate's champion."

[Sierra generally only sees other Champions at social occasions. The exceptions are when she has to make sure fate turns out as it should. I'm guessing she has probably met Trevor at other social events. The Champion she probably crosses paths with the most is Pararie, Trickster's champion.]

Fate, fate... Eira ran that one through her head, but couldn't remember Tore saying anything about that one, either good or bad. They'd been too busy cleaning house, getting her new Guard picked and settled, Tore had just given her bare basics. Well, she was going to assume neutral until proven otherwise. "Eira Egosdottir, Lunar Champion," she introduced herself. She kept her hand on her sword, but offered the other for a handshake. "Is Fate as difficult as the Moon?" she asks out of curiosity. It seemed like one that would be as...well, maybe not quite as insane...

(She hasn't really met Drake either, she's just heard about him. XD Eira has too much of an itchy foot. It makes finding her for Lady Champion, leader of her people, business...interesting.)

Drake grins toothily at Eira's cautious move of keeping him in her line of sight. The smile is slightly threatening, retaining some of his earlier animosity, but talk of Oliver's pranks has lightened his mood.

He leans back in his seat in a non-aggressive posture and watches Lunar and Fate's Champions make their greetings without comment. His current predicament with the sealing away of his true form and most of his powers is a bit of a sore point for him and not a weakness he wishes to flaunt in front of the other champions. He is happy to duck the question and let the conversation move away from him.

(turning in for the night since I have work tomorrow, have fun!)

Sierra took the offered hand, shaking it firmly before letting it go, "Fate...." Her ears went back as thought on how to respond. "She's impartial. There's no emotional reaction to dispatching fates. It's simply done. Sometimes what needs to be done is... difficult. But I try to view it as a scale that must be balanced."

She didn't know, if failure to do as Fate commanded would result in a devastating cascade effect or if Fate herself would step in to correct the problem. Either way, she hoped it never came to that.

[I actually have to get up early myself so I will probably be turning in soon as well]

[I hope it's ok to join in with Esa! .u. ]

Esalia walks quietly into the room, looking around with peaked interests. She'd never met any of the other champions before, although she had heard of a few. One of which was Drake, whom she made sure to keep a bit of distance from, staying along the edges of the room. Pouting at the lack of decor about the room, Esa began to make her way over to a table to sit down.

Whilst she walked she took great care to not trip and fall as she had a tendency to do. Esa would not want the other champions first impressions of her to be downtrodden by her unfortunate clumsy habits.

[Also I'm sorry if anything is wrong, I haven't RPed in many years ;u;'' ]

The satyr waved his hand, "I was completely aware!" he says, stretching his arms over his head, though there's a slight moment where he tugs at his hair making sure it's still the same old brown it's been for...however long it's been that color. Time was confusing, so he pressed it to the back of his mind, and a hand goes back to his pocket, rifling around before grabbing a pack of old, crushed cigarettes, and a box of matches.

"Psh. Ollie knows better then to mess with my hair, anyway." he comments after a pause, popping one of those cigarettes between his lips. "Besides," he lights up, venting a little smoke. "He'd be so upset if I stopped sending him invitations." the revelry champion grinned, flicking some ash.

"So like... anyone bring some beer? They still make beer, right? Last time I checked they did, but that was... uh..." he trails off, though he of all people knew the answer to that, it was fun to joke, though. "I really need a watch..." he comments, looking over his wrist.

(This is extremely tricky for me, 'cause I never expected to RP Trevor. But I'm jumping in there, and doing my best! Woo!)

Sierra shook her head, sighing lightly at the confusion. She had meant Trevor shouldn't try it with any of the champions or their entourage. Besides, as unaware as he could be, he'd be a perfect target for Oliver. To be fair, it was part of his job as Revelry's Champion no doubt.

Lightly flapping a wing to keep the smoke away from her she smirked to Trevor, "They were making beer back when the Egyptians was the most advanced human civilization. It seems to be the one thing humans never forget how to do or quickly relearn."

She spotted Esalia making her way to a table and waved, "Why don't you sit by me?" She patted the couch beside her. "I'm Sierra." The Sphinx was grinning from ear to ear.

Drake's attempt at a threat barely crosses Eira's mind, she's used to more obvious tactics. Besides, Sierra was answering her question. She nodded to show she understood. "It sounds like the Moon, when She is closer to being full," she agreed. Now if only She could stay there. But the moon waxed and waned, and thus the psyche of the Moon did too.

The topic turned to the discussion of beer, and Eira couldn't help but snort in laughter. "Or Solidifians help remind them," she said. "Moon knows, the swan people have never forgotten. I think I even have a brother-in-law who brews mead...or is it a nephew by marriage?" She paused and tried to remember. Her family was too big of a tangle, sometimes...

But there was another new champion's arrival, but at least this time, Eira recognized her as one of those aligned with her own archetype. She nodded her head in greeting. "Esalia."

(We're about to hit the max capacity of Champions that Tore is not going to kick Eira's butt over being alone with them [or well, try to kick]. Votes on other Guard members to bring in?)
